Ultimate agrees fight between BJ Penn x Clay Guida for UFC 237, in Rio de Janeiro

The fight program UFC 237, an event that takes place on May 11th, in Rio de Janeiro, is taking shape. On Wednesday night (06), the fight between lightweights B.J. Penn e Clay guida was added to the card. So far this is the only fight that does not involve Brazilians in the attraction

BJ, who has a professional record of 16 wins, 13 losses and two draws, is a former lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) and welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) champion. The 'Prodigy', as he is known, is not going through a good phase in his career. At 40 years old, the Hawaiian comes from six consecutive losses. In his last fight, at UFC 232 in December 2018, he was submitted by Ryan Hall.

In turn, the North American Clay guida has a record of 34 wins and 18 losses. In his last performance, 'Carpinteiro' was surpassed by the Brazilian Charles of the Bronx at UFC 225, in June 2018.

UFC 237

The main fight of UFC 237 will be the fight for the women's strawweight belt (up to 52,1 kg.), where the North American Rose namajunas defends his reign against the Brazilian Jessica Stacker.
