UFC 235: Jon Jones and nine others receive 180 days of medical suspension

Jon Jones won Anthony Smith and retained the light heavyweight belt at UFC 235, last Saturday (02). However, his return to the Octagon may take a little longer than expected. The Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC), the entity that sanctioned the event, released the list of medical suspensions for the event and 'Bones' leads the list of ten athletes who received a six-month suspension.

Jones' long hook is due to a suspected left foot injury. To return before August 30th, the light heavyweight champion needs to be cleared by an orthopedist.

In addition to Jones, nine other fighters suspended for 180 days were: Anthony Smith, Gina Mazany, Hannah Cifers, Johnny Walker, Macy chiasson, Peter Munhoz, Tecia torres, Tyron woodley e Zabit Magomedsharipov.

Peter Munhoz received the hook due to an injury to the finger on his right hand. If the fracture is found, the Brazilian will be released to fight only with the authorization of an orthopedist.

Johnny Walker was injured during the celebration of the victory over Misha Cirkunov. The light heavyweight suffered a dislocated shoulder and must undergo four weeks of rehabilitation to return to training.

Anthony Smith: 180 days, unless doctors release it after x-rays of the nose and ribs.

Mickey gall: 45 days. He will have to be cleared by doctors before returning to training.

Misha Cirkunov: 60 days no contact for 45 days.

Peter Munhoz: 180 days, unless doctors release it after x-ray of the right hand and right thumb.

Polyana viana: 60 days

Tecia torres: 180 days unless doctors clear after x-ray of right ankle and right foot

Tyron woodley: 180 days unless doctors clear after MRI of right thumb.

Weili Zhang: 30 days

Zabit Magomedsharipov: 180 days, unless doctors release it after x-ray of the left ankle and left foot.
