Bellator plans to hold a fight that did not take place in the UFC Octagon. According to the website of the North American channel ESPN, the organization is working to confirm the fight between Chael Sonnen e Lyoto Machida. The date and location have not been set, but the duel should take place in the light heavyweight division.

The Brazilian made his Bellator debut in December last year, when Raphael Carvalho by split decision in the 213th edition event. Before that, Lyoto had two UFC victories over Erik Anders e Vitor belfort. At 40 years old, Machida has a record of 33 fights, with 25 triumphs and eight setbacks.
Sonnen in four fights in Bellator has two wins and two setbacks. In his last commitment, the North American was knocked out by Fedor Emelianenko in October last year in the semi-final of the organization's Heavyweight GP. Chael has 47 fights in his career, with 30 victories, 16 defeats and one draw.
