Jon Jones will face Anthony Smith in his first defense of the light heavyweight belt in the main fight of UFC 235, on Saturday (02) in Las Vegas. However, what is once again in evidence are the results of 'Bones' anti-doping tests. During the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) hearing, this Monday, the press questioned when the entity will release the Ultimate champion's test reports.

NAC Chief Commissioner Anthony A. Marnell III assured that Jones' exam reports will be released shortly before UFC 235.
“We will publish the results of the Jon Jones, but not until a date very, very close to the event. If you can stop requesting this data from the NAC executive director, it will help a lot. The results will not be made public until we are ready to organize them correctly. But that will happen before the fight,” explained Marnell.
The latest doping case
On the eve of UFC 232, Jones was caught in a doping test with metabolites of the anabolic steroid 'turinabol'. Same substance found in his body at UFC 214 in 2017. On that occasion, 'Bones' defeated Daniel Cormier by knockout, but was awarded the light heavyweight title after failing a doping test.
The amount of'turinabol' found in the anti-doping test was considered small and therefore, Jones was released to face Alexander Gustafson. However, 'Bones' had to accept regular testing from three different bodies: USADA, VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency) and NAC. Only then would the light heavyweight champion receive the license to fight in Las Vegas again.
