Minotauro returns to training after arm surgery

After almost 79 days of intense recovery work, Rodrigo Minotauro is back in training. The Brazilian heavyweight, who fractured his arm in the fight against Frank mir at UFC 140, he held a training session at his gym this Monday and said he should be free to do all movements within a month.

“I missed training. It was just supposed to be 'shadow' training, but I can't stand it”, commented the athlete in an official note. Minotauro, who had 16 pins inserted in his arm, said he will be 100% in less than a month.

“I still need about three weeks of physical preparation to improve my boxing with Professor Erivan and then I'll call Master De La Riva and start training jiu-jitsu. I believe I’ll be back in a month,” he completed the heavyweight.

Before thinking about returning to combat, Minotauro wants to improve his fighting rhythm by following the training of his teammates, such as junior gypsy, which faces alistair overeem for the heavyweight belt, Anderson Silva, who will defend his reign before Chael Sonnen e Antonio Pezão who should debut in the UFC soon.

“Soon the Junior Gypsy, to train for the fight against Overeem, then at some point Pezão and Anderson will come. I need to be 100% to train with these guys, because they are just thick-skinned”, he concluded.
