Chael Sonnen was knocked out at 4:46 of the first round by Fedor Emelianenko in the main fight of Bellator 208. The confrontation was valid for the second semifinal of the organization's heavyweight GP. The New York Athletic Commission announced that the American received a 30-day medical suspension.

The fighter who received the longest suspension was Andy Main with 60 days. He was knocked out by Henry Corrales at 2:08 of the third round. Other athletes who were hooked were: Ryan Castro (45 days), Jessica Ruiz (45 days), Timothy Johnson (30 days), Christian Medina (30 days) and Eric Olsen (30 days)
