Chiesa claims McGregor fans insult his family after lawsuit

Due to the injury he suffered after the attack on the bus at UFC 223 Media Day, the fighter was deprived of payment and therefore decided to take action against Conor

Michael chiesa was one of the athletes who suffered from the attack of Conor McGregor to the bus that took fighters to UFC 223 Media Day in April. 'Maverick' had an injury, was unable to fight and did not receive his payment. Due to this, the fighter and his team decided to take legal action against the Irishman. After starting the process, the American stated that 'Notorious' fans have been sending messages insulting his family.

“Even my girlfriend and my mother receive messages and comments. They are not part of it. It is a shame. My mom is a sensitive woman and I do my best to protect her and everything. And when she tells me about some of the mean things being sent her way, it's really embarrassing. Anyone can say whatever they want to me. This is about me, not my family,” Chiesa said in an interview with the North American program The MMA Hour.

Even suffering from the 'fury' of Conor's fans, Chiesa still believes that admirers of mixed martial arts are great people. “I hate hearing people say 'MMA fans are the worst.' It's like, I don't want to say this because I think MMA fans are great, but in the same sense I never see people who don't like LeBron James say volatile, mean things about him,” Michael explained.

After injury at UFC 223, Michael chiesa His return is scheduled for UFC 232, on December 29th. The fighter will face the Carlos Condit in his welterweight debut.
