Wand on Belfort fight: “He has no advantage”

While Vitor belfort sweat to finish Anthony Johnson, on the 14th, Wanderlei Silva watched everything up close from the first row of seats at the UFC Rio 2. The Brazilian athletes, who have marked their names in the history of MMA, will be the coaches of the first edition of TUF Brasil, and after the reality show they will face each other in a rematch scheduled for June 16th, in São Paulo.

In conversation with SUPER FIGHTS, Wand, who last fought at UFC 139, in November, said he doesn't see an advantage from Belfort due to his inactivity and promises a great duel against his compatriot.

“I don’t see an advantage for Vitor, he has no advantage at all. It’s a long time between fights and it will be the same for both,” said Silva, who commented on what he expects in the rematch against Belfort. “It will be beautiful, a dream to fight in a football stadium. I hope it’s one of the biggest fights of all time,” he added.

Regarding The Ultimate Fighter, which for the first time will be held outside the United States, Wand said that the reality show on Brazilian soil will be one of the best of all time.

The fight between Vitor belfort e Wanderlei Silva It is one of the most anticipated rematches by the Brazilian public. In the first confrontation, held in 1998, in São Paulo, Belfort won, by knockout, in just 44 seconds.
