Michael Bisping was called up in a hurry to replace the injured Mark Munoz and face Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox 2, where the winner of the fight will have the chance to challenge Anderson Silva for the organization's middleweight belt. Willing not to miss this opportunity, the British athlete reveals that he is not afraid of Sonnen's greatest quality: his takedown game. In an interview with the English magazine Fighters Only, Bisping said that he expects a great opponent, but if Chael is knocked down he will be surprised.
“I know I will face the best of Chael Sonnen. I also know that Chael will want to take me down, but he can take me to the ground if he wants, because I can fight with my back to the ground and jiu-jitsu is his biggest weakness”, said Bisping, who praised his jiu-jitsu work, and He said he considers himself a black belt in the sport.
“I may not have a black belt, but I consider myself one. I already rolled with Jake Shields, Dean Lister and several world champions. Believe me, if Chael Sonnen take me down, he better be ready to be finished”, he said. “If he takes me down, the night will be short for him”, added Michael.
The fight between Chael Sonnen e Michael Bisping it will be the second most important fight of UFC on Fox 2, an event scheduled to take place on January 28th, in Chicago, in the United States.
