Daniel Cormier it didn't take long to comment on his rival's 15-month suspension, Jon Jones. A few hours after his rival's punishment was announced, during the “UFC Tonight” program on “Fox Sports”, the champion revealed that he is not interested in a third fight against 'Bones' at the moment. His focus is on confronting Brock Lesnar before his retirement in March 2019.

“I think people get excited, people get excited at the prospect of us fighting again, but I have a fight with Brock Lesnar. Why would I look back? Why would I look at Jones now when I have a fight? Obviously, as a competitor, I want to fight the guy who beat me twice. I have a bigger fight with the Brock Lesnar. Why should I go back?” said DC.

Cormier questioned the penalty of just 15 months imposed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency. For the champion, other fighters who tested positive once and received harsher punishments, while Jones who is a repeat offender, USADA imposed a light sentence.

Because of this, the holder of two UFC belts has warned the United States Anti-Doping Agency that he should no longer go to his house. “Here’s the thing: When it comes to USADA, they can’t come to my house at 6 in the morning anymore. What is the point? They were at my house 15 times. USADA, don't come to my house anymore. It is not necessary. That will never happen to me. Seventy times since I started fighting internationally, and I’ve never made a mistake,” said Cormier.
