Russian party at the Moscow Olympic Arena! Ultimate arrived in the Eastern European country for the first time and the local athletes did not disappoint the fans. With 10 representatives in the fight program, nine Russians left the octagon with their arms raised. In the main fight of the night at UFC Fight Night Moscow, heavyweight Aleksei Oleinik suffered from the blows of the New Zealander Mark Hunt, but as soon as he managed to take the fight to the ground, he quickly secured the rear naked choke and sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Brazil had only one representative in the show's fight program. The welterweight Thiago Pitbull had a tough fight against Russian Alexey Kunchenko, but ended up overcoming the judges' unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28);

The expectation was clear! The main attraction of UFC Moscow it would be a duel of styles: the stand-up fight in favor of Hunt, against Oleinik's ground skills. Hunt imposed his game early on. He worked with strong leg kicks that stopped Oleinik's movement. The New Zealander still combined hand blows to the Russian's face. However, when the triumph seemed to be going in Mark's favor, Oleinik achieved an unlikely turnaround.

Still fighting on the feet, and with his movement compromised due to the kicks received to his leg, the Russian connected with a cross that rocked Hunt. Oleinik took advantage of the moment, closed the distance and managed to take the fight to the ground. On the ground, he showed all his superiority: he quickly got to his back and managed a fair rear naked choke to end the dispute.
