Confirmation of the third fight in the trilogy between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, is already causing a lot of controversy. The conflict is the age of the fighters, because 'The Iceman' is 48 years old and 'The People's Champ' is 43. In his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience on the MMA Show”, UFC commentator Joe Rogan questioned what the motivation would be fighters to enter the cage again.

“Because if they want to do this and they have money – what is that? Is it the motivation that bothers me? What's in a fight like that? I think it's the motivation that bothers me a little bit,” Rogan said.

Joe Rogan does not agree with the athletes' decision to return to the cage and believes they may be compelled to accept the fight. He still questions why his teams are not preventing this third meeting.

The Ultimate commentator stated that Liddell has said that he feels like fighting and entering the cage professionally. “It was his favorite thing and he misses it. If we're going to live forever, I would say definitely don't do it because you'll keep hurting yourself. But if you won’t live forever,” he concluded.

Even criticizing the clash between Ultimate veterans, Joe Rogan confirmed that he will watch the fight. The date and location have not yet been defined by Golden Boy.
