During the interview day of UFC 223 week, Conor McGregor and the team invaded the press conference in search of Khabib Nurmagomedov, which would be the main fight of the event. The athlete would win the title of UFC lightweight champion, which until now belonged to the Irishman. Another reason would be confusion between the Russian and Artem Lobov, Conor's friend.

Conor threw a cart against the window of the bus that was taking the athletes to the event. The shattered glass injured Michael chiesa and Ray Borg. The athletes were removed from UFC 223 on medical advice. Lobov was also removed for being together with McGregor.
