Fight between Jessica Aguilar and Jodie Esquibel rescheduled for UFC Boise

The fight between Americans Jessica Aguilar and Jodie Esquibel was canceled at UFC Utica. The reason Aguilar was cut was because his lips were cracked. This was denied by the New York Athletic Commission, which said that Jessica has a potentially contagious medical condition. On Wednesday (06) it was announced that the comfort will be at UFC Boise, on July 14th.

In an Instagram post, Jessica Aguiar thanked Esquibel and Mick Maynard for rescheduling the fight so quickly.

"Good news! My fight has been rescheduled for July 14th! I am very happy and extremely grateful. I would like to send a big thank you to my team, for all their help, support, love. THANK YOU to my management @firstroundmgmt for running business as usual, to Jodi for agreeing to reschedule this fight, to everyone who sent love my way, to all the media for helping me share my story and last but not least THANK YOU SO MUCH @mickmaynard2 & @ufc for making this a quick turnaround,” Jessica thanked.

Aguilar, 36, is looking for his first UFC win after losing to Cortney Casey and Claudia gadelha. Before being signed by Ultimate, Jessica reigned as the World Series of Fighting heavyweight champion.

Aguilar's opponent is also looking for her first UFC triumph. His debut was a unanimous decision loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz in October and 2017
