In an interview with the website “MMAjunkie”, the 'Soldado of God' explained that he could have won the fight, so he promises to have a 'perfect' fight this Saturday (09) at UFC 225 .

“I made a mistake, and this time, we worked on the mistake I made in the last fight with (Whittaker). On Saturday, we will improve. I had a moment in the fight where I could have finished him, and I didn't. This time, I’m going to finish him off,” said Yoel.
the first fight between the athletes was in the dispute for the interim middleweight belt. With the victory, Whittaker was promoted to champion after Georges St-Pierre vacated the linear belt he won from Michael Bisping in November 2017.
Since winning the title, Robert has not fought due to injuries. Romero defeated the former champion by knockout Luke Rockhold in February 2018. The duel would have been for the interim belt, but Romero was unable to lose weight.
The Olympic wrestling medalist explained that this is the time to win the division belt. “In the beginning, when I fought in the UFC, I wanted to learn in the Octagon. This time, it's not like that. It's not like that when you fight for the title. Now, when you have a moment to kill with someone, you do it. It’s a great moment – it’s the title”, concluded Romero.
