UFC 225: Yoel Romero promises 'perfect' fight against Robert Whittaker

So that lightning does not strike twice in the same fight, Yoel romero studied the first fight where he lost to Robert whittaker by unanimous decision in July 2017 at UFC 213. In an interview with the website “MMAjunkie”, the 'Soldado of God' explained that he could have won the fight, so he promises to have a 'perfect' fight this Saturday (09) at UFC 225 .

“I made a mistake, and this time, we worked on the mistake I made in the last fight with (Whittaker). On Saturday, we will improve. I had a moment in the fight where I could have finished him, and I didn't. This time, I’m going to finish him off,” said Yoel.

Since winning the title, Robert has not fought due to injuries. Romero defeated the former champion by knockout Luke Rockhold in February 2018. The duel would have been for the interim belt, but Romero was unable to lose weight.
