UFC 224: Capoeira, Mutante and Davi Ramos shine on the preliminary card dominated by Brazilians

The UFC 224 fight program, also called UFC Rio 9, started well for Brazil. In the eight fights on the preliminary card, the country left the fighting area with five victories. The highlights of the opening program were Elizeu Capoeira, Davi ramos e Cezar Mutant.

In the fight against German Nick Hein, the Brazilian suffered a scare at the beginning of the dispute. He received a left cross and ended up falling. However, aware of the danger that the Brazilian presented on the ground, Hein preferred not to enter guard.

The opportunity was a chance for Davi to get up, attack his legs, take down the German and give his jiu-jitsu lesson. He mounted, attacked the guard and quickly got to his back to finish.

The fight between Capoeira and Strickland began carefully, with the athletes waiting for the best moment to strike. Elizeu landed a beautiful round kick, which caught his rival's head. Strickland went to the ground and with a few more punches on the ground, Capoeira achieved a technical knockout.

Miná, Thales and Albini lose

The Brazilian party was only not complete on the preliminary card due to three defeats by athletes from the country: The Russian Ramazan Emeyev dominated Alberto Miná during the three rounds and broke the Paraíba native's unbeaten record in MMA with a unanimous decision from the judges; Thales leites put up a good fight Jack hermansson and came close to winning.
