Chael Sonnen 'is back'. Known for his loudmouth style, always challenging and provoking his opponents, the former rival of Anderson Silva turned his 'machine guns' to another Brazilian: Fabricio Werdum. Used to doing submission fights alongside MMA, including a victory at the ADC World Championship, Sonnen, through a video published on the “FloGrappling” website, challenged the heavyweight from Rio Grande do Sul to a no-gi grappling fight.

“I see no reason to wait, then, Fabricio Werdum, why don't you accept my invitation now? You and I have known each other for a long time, we've crossed paths and we've always been kind to each other, but I can see in your eyes that you don't want to be polite to me, and you can see in my eyes that I don't want to be polite to you also. So why don't we stop pretending? It's your jiu-jitsu style against my title. So why don’t we agree on this now?”, Chael fired.

Werdum, who has been on vacation since his last fight, on November 18, when he won Marcin tybura at UFC Australia, has not yet commented. Sonnen, in turn, has an appointment. He opens the highly anticipated Bellator heavyweight GP against Rampafe Jackson on January 20th, in the city of Inglewood, California (USA).
