When he moved from UFC to Bellator a few months ago, Frank mir did not hide his desire to face Fedor Emelianenko in the new house. And it didn't take long for his wishes to be fulfilled. Set against the legendary Russian fighter in the heavyweight GP in April 2018, the former Ultimate champion praised the duel, saying he was motivated to return to fight after two years inactive.

the duel between Frank mir and Fedor is one of the four fights that make up the heavyweight GP bracket. The winner faces Rampage Jackson or Chael Sonnen, who open the tournament in January. On the other side of the key are Roy Nelson and Matt Mitrione, who face each other in February, and the light heavyweights Ryan bader e King mo Lawal, who meet in May.
Frank mir He built his almost entire career in Ultimate, having fought in the company in 27 of the 29 professional fights on his record. However, he was removed from his post after suffering a motorcycle accident and not fighting for almost two years.
