Next Saturday (2), José Aldo will have the chance to regain the UFC featherweight title, lost to Max Holloway just five months ago. The Brazilian, who lost at home to the North American, is now going to Detroit to try to bring the belt back and admits that he has renewed energy after going through problems with the UFC.

In an interview with the program “Countdown to UFC 218”, Aldo assured that he will become champion again on December 2nd and said he was “extra excited” for the victory over Holloway and left 'new plans' for his opponent in the air.
“I knew this position would be mine. I was a dominant champion, one of the only ones in the history of the division and I deserved this chance. For me, I will always be the best, the champion. That's why I joined the organization. I knew that this belt would come back to me, but I'm happy that the chance came so quickly (…) It's going to be a new fight, we have a new mind, new plans. Yes, there is a belt at stake, but now Aldo has more desire to fight”, guaranteed the Brazilian.
Despite the confidence, Holloway's favoritism comes from the fact that the American won the first fight between the two decisively. Aldo even had a chance to settle the bill in the first round, but ended up being knocked out in the third round. The Brazilian explained what went wrong in that fight.
“He’s a tall guy and he’s difficult to play against. I didn't have that much difficulty, I actually had some opportunities, I landed good shots, I had the opportunity to end the fight, but I didn't,” said Aldo.
