Shortly after regaining the bantamweight title at UFC 217, TJ Dillashaw made a point of challenging Demetrious Johnson, recognized as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and owner of the flyweight belt. Assuring that he would have no problem making weight in the lower division, Dillashaw did not have his challenge answered by “Mighty Mouse” and said that DJ depends on him to become the greatest fighter of all time.

In an interview with the North American website “FloCombat”, Dillashaw once again challenged Johnson and declared that Ultimate has already warned him that this is the fight the company wants to make in the coming months.

“This fight has to happen. I want it, the UFC has already announced that it wants it too and it needs this fight. Demetrious Johnson He needs to beat me to prove that he is the best fighter in the world pound for pound and he has to accept this challenge”, commented TJ.

The champion also spoke about the victory against his arch-rival and former training partner cody garbrandt. For Dillashaw, his former friend will have a hard time returning to the top of the division and has refused any possibility of giving “No Love” an immediate rematch.

PUBLICITY:

“I think I exposed cody garbrandt. I don't know if he has the chin he thinks he has. Many are afraid of the power in his hands and do not exchange with him. But now he will have to face some killers who will test him. He has the skills to get back into a title fight, but I don't know if he'll make it. I don't think he deserves an immediate rematch. He didn't even defend his title. For me, a fighter only becomes a true champion when he defends his title. I lost a split decision to Dominick Cruz, in a fight that the UFC owners thought I won, and I had to win other fights to fight for the belt again”, argued Dillashaw.
