Léo Leite from Rio is Bellator's new signing. Two-time jiu-jitsu world champion and member of the Olympic judo team for 12 years, the Brazilian fighter signed an exclusive contract with the organization chaired by Scott Coker and will work in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg). The information was given first-hand by the website 'MMa Junkie'.

An MMA professional for just four years, Léo, aged 39, has a perfect record, with ten wins in ten professional fights. His last performance was in November 2016, when he beat Moise Rimbom by unanimous decision at Fight 2 Night, an event created by global actor Bruno Gagliasso. The fighter's record has three wins by knockout, three by submission and four by points.
Bellator's light heavyweight division has former UFC Ryan bader as current champion. Interestingly, Leite will be only the second Brazilian representative in the under-93kg category. The other is the legend Wanderlei Silva, who debuted after being defeated by his rival Chael Sonnen, in June this year.
