Less than a week after his UFC debut was scheduled, middleweight Michal Materla backtracked and withdrew from signing a contract with the UFC. The fighter, who had verbally agreed to hire the company chaired by Dana White, changed his mind and renewed his contract with KSW, the biggest MMA event in Poland, in which Materla held the 84kg belt. The information is from the Combate channel website.

Materla was scheduled to face Thiago Marreta in the main fight of UFC Poland, on October 21st. With Michal's decision, the organization is looking for a new opponent for Marreta, who published a photo on his social networks in which he appeared signing the contract for the duel.
With a professional record of 24 wins and only five losses, Michal Materla hasn't fought since October 2016, when he knocked out former UFC fighter Rousimar Palhares, known as Toquinho.
