Amateur MMA fighter dies after being knocked out in a fight in the USA

Heavyweight Donshay White, 37, died after having his second amateur fight in the city of Louisville (USA)

The world of MMA is in mourning again. Last Saturday, American amateur fighter Donshay White, aged 37, passed away after a fight at the Hardrock MMA 90 event, in the city of Louisville (USA). White was competing in a heavyweight fight against Ricky Muse, and was knocked out at 2:22 of the second round, when referee Gary Copeland stopped the fight after the fighter failed to react to defend himself from the blows applied by his opponent.

According to a report on the website “Blue Grass MMA” (USA), White appeared exhausted after the fight, but received medical attention. However, when walking to the changing rooms, he passed out and did not react anymore. Donshay received first aid at the scene and was taken by ambulance to KentuckyOne Health Sts. Mary and Elizabeth hospital, but he did not survive. The cause of death has not yet been released.

This was only the second amateur MMA fight of Donshay White's career. Previously, he had debuted in November 2015, when he beat John Johnson Jr., by knockout, in the first round.
