The output of Amanda nunes of UFC 213 on the day of the event left a bitter taste in the mouths of fans, eager for the rematch against Valentina Shevchenko and also the president of Ultimate, Dana White. The director even expressed his dissatisfaction with the bantamweight champion, saying that the doctors released her, but she chose not to compete. But another UFC belt owner insisted on defending it.

For Daniel Cormier, UFC light heavyweight champion, Amanda was really sick and had every right not to enter the Octagon at UFC 213.
“I don't believe she was scared. I believe she was sick. And if she was sick and couldn't compete, then she had every right not to compete. This is a woman who has already faced and won Valentina Shevchenko. This is a woman who has already won Ronda Rousey. Already won Miesha Tate. Two women who are basically no longer fighting because of the blows they received from Amanda nunes”, commented DC, in an interview with the North American program MMA Junkie Radio.
Despite disagreeing with Dana White, Cormier, who faces Jon Jones at UFC 214 on July 29, he said he understands the Ultimate boss's reaction, which is often “emotional”.
“Dana is an emotional guy on many occasions. He will simply say what is on his mind. In the best of times, he will say what he thinks and will do the same in the worst of situations. I think that’s what happened,” he explained.
