Wanderlei Silva did not fall for the 'peace offer' made by Chael Sonnen during the face-off between the two after the ceremonial weigh-in for Bellator 180, which takes place this Saturday (24). The two are in the main fight of the night and were face to face for the last time before the fight, which should have taken place in the UFC in 2013, but will only happen four years later, in the rival promotion of Ultimate.

Upon seeing Wanderlei walking towards him, Sonnen reached out for a shake, but Wanderlei just opened his arms and refused to accept the “American Gangster’s” greeting. Right before the Brazilian weighed in, the North American had provoked him.
“I am the future and Wanderlei is the past. So I'm going to give everyone a gift with my knockout on him. I didn’t come to this disgusting city to beat him, but to finish him off”, provoked Sonnen, who is coming off a defeat to Tito Ortiz in his Bellator debut.
In the second most important fight of the night, respect reigned between Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Mitrione. When interviewed after the weigh-in, the “Last Emperor” only said that he would do “whatever he can to win this fight”. In the duels for the belt, there was no provocation and the duels between the champions Phil Davis (light heavyweight), Douglas lima (welterweight), Michael chandler (light) and Ryan bader, Lorenz Larkin and Brent Primus, respectively, are confirmed.
