“I'm training hard for the victory to happen, I want to work. I'm going to play my game and he's going to come at me, knockout or submission. I will show all my worth, I will seek this all the time. I watched all his fights in the UFC several times, he is very strategic, he is well on his way to victory. He always finds a way to victory, I like striking, beating, but I'm an MMA fighter. There’s no point in devising a strategy and getting there when it’s time to do something different”, declared Thominhas to the “MMA Ganhador” podcast.

A member of the Chute Boxe Diego Lima team, Almeida says he feels comfortable in the gym and revealed that he rejected invitations to train in the United States, even after the setback to Garbrandt, which came via knockout in the first round. The Brazilian guarantees, however, that he can do a quick exchange abroad in the future.

“I’ve received invitations to train, but until today I didn’t feel like it. Nothing specific. I have friends who live abroad, in Las Vegas, for example. But I trust my team, I feel comfortable here. I feel good at Chute Boxe – Diego Lima, I don’t think I ever needed it. The most important thing is for the fighter to be happy. But I'm a guy who always seeks knowledge, seeks to improve, so it doesn't cost anything, I want to go abroad, spend one, two, three weeks to seek knowledge. But going there to live, I don’t think about that, I feel good here in São Paulo”, concluded the bantamweight.
