Bellator announces signing of Mike Goldberg, former UFC narrator

The rivalry between UFC and Bellator is transcending the Octagon. Considered the second largest MMA organization in the world, the company led by Scott Coker announced, this Tuesday (13), the hiring of Mike Goldberg, former Ultimate narrator. According to the statement sent to the press, in addition to Goldberg, Mauro Ranallo, who made his mark narrating the extinct Pride, was also hired. Their debut in charge of the Bellator broadcast will take place on June 24th, at the event where Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen will be the main fight of the show.

Goldberg was the UFC's main narrator for 19 years. He debuted with the company in 1997 and stayed until the end of last year, when he was released after UFC 207. Ranallo became known for broadcasting the now-defunct Pride, when he was paired with former fighter Bas Rutten.
