Going through the best phase of his career, Antonio Shoe Guy is already aiming high in the middleweight category. After scoring his third consecutive victory by submitting Eric Spicely at UFC 212, held last Saturday (03), in Rio de Janeiro, the TUF Brasil 3 champion did not hesitate when pointing out what his next plans are.
For him, there are two options: the winner of Derek Brunson x Dan Kelly, who will face each other next Saturday (10), or whoever emerges victorious from Chris Weidman x Kelvin Gastelum, who measure forces in July.

I think there are great fighters outside the rankings who are very tough, so I don't see any difference in fighting with the guys who are ranked or not. Before achieving three recent positive results, Sapato alternated ups and downs in the UFC, suffering two defeats and one unsuccessful fight. According to the Brazilian, the setbacks were important for him to mature and correct the flaws in his game.
“Actually, I was already sure, but I needed to show it so people could believe it. It was my third victory in a row, second submission and I've already matured what I needed to mature. I'm a UFC fan, before TUF I had three fights and I managed to win a super challenge, which was The Ultimate Fighter and at heavyweight. I learned to lose weight, I learned to fight, to do things, I'm a matured fighter in MMA, matured in the UFC and it was difficult to mature here, because the best are here, so I had defeats that also taught me a lot, but I'm sure that I’m ready to face anyone in the category”, concluded the middleweight.
TUF Brasil 3 champion in the heavyweight division, Shoe Face, 27 years old, has already had eight fights in the UFC, recording five wins, two losses and one no contest.
