The papers are not yet signed, but Valentina Shevchenko won, inside the octagon, the opportunity to face the women's bantamweight champion Amanda nunes. The confrontation, however, does not yet have a defined date or location, but, according to the challenger, it should be made official soon.

“We will soon have a date. When she denied the fight in April, she was telling the UFC that she would be out for a while and wouldn't return until July. Of course, I was planning my schedule to be busy before July, but then she changed her mind and now we are talking (again) about the date”, declared the fighter, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie' radio (USA).
Amanda and Valentina already faced each other in March 2016, when the Brazilian won by unanimous decision. Shevchenko, however, highlighted that he has evolved since then, and guaranteed that the final result will be different in the rematch.
“I think that for everyone, each experience brings changes. It's hard to say, because all of his fights end so quickly. We haven't seen much yet, but she's a very dangerous opponent. That's why I have to train three times as hard and I will do that. But that doesn't matter, it's what I want. I want this title, and I will do everything to win it”, she concluded.
