The Glory 38 the Artem Vakhitov and Saulo Cavalari trilogy closed with an outcome not favorable to the Brazilian. At the event, held in the early hours of Saturday (25), in Chicago (USA), the Russian won by knockout in the second round and secured his second triumph in three fights against the Curitiba native.
But the Russia x Brazil duel will have a new chapter and the champion will have a new Curitiba native at the helm: Ariel Machado, #2 in the light heavyweight rankings, won his two fights on the night and became the winner of the category's GP. Now, with no date set yet, Ariel will have the chance to bring the belt to Brazil in a confrontation against Vakhitov.
