Thumbs up, is Black House over?
In no way, we just changed our address and name. The coaches and the team went together; including the Anderson Silva and the Lyoto Machida. A new name will be announced soon.
Why did you leave Recreio, in Rio?
There was an incompatibility of energies with one of the three partners, and as Black House was located in the same structure as X-Gym, I was ordered to leave there. But I want to make it clear that the disagreement was not with my long-time friend Rogério Camões or with Rodrigo Bethlem, son of my dear friend Maria Zilda.
And was the change for the better?
To tell you the truth, I invested a lot of time and money. Time was not entirely wasted; As for money, the management of X-Gym promised to reimburse me for the investments made. But so far nothing…
There are rumors that you and the Vitor belfort they fought. And truth?
Absolutely! People talk too much. I've heard several stories that Vitor betrayed me by making crazy gossip to take over my position, and that he constantly entices some of our coaches. I talked to him and he denied it. I believe him. It reached my ears that I gave him the nickname “Judas Belfort”. This is absurd! I would never do that. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't lie. And did it surprise you that Vitor became part of the X-Striker team?

And surfing? Any trips planned?
Well, I'm following the Paul Philo, who defends the WEC title on December 12th in Las Vegas, from there I go to Los Angeles and do articles for the program “Passando a Guarda”, which is my flagship, and waiting for Lyoto who fights on the 29th December in Vegas. On the 30th, I head to Hawaii where I spend the month of January on vacation surfing and hanging out with my great friends Eddie Rothman and Kai Garcia on the North Shore of Oahu. From Hawaii I'm going to Canada for the Minotouro fight, on February 1st, and right after that we leave for Las Vegas, for the Minotauro fight the next day, for the UFC heavyweight title. It can be against anyone.
And anything new on the internals?
Ever! Nino Schembri is going with Daniel Woirin, our muay thai teacher, to Belém, to train Lyoto together with his brother Shinzo Machida. They should even be in his corner in the fight against Sokoudjou, on the 29th. Paulo Filho is preparing a surprise for his fight in the WEC: he must enter the ring with a dog. But it won't be one of his pitbulls here in Rio, it's an American pitbull with an extraordinarily large head, known as the American Bully. Paulão's stuff!
