Eight fighters receive six-month medical suspension after UFC Sacramento

Alan Jouban, Mike Perry, Cole Miller, Colby Covington, James Moontasri, Josh Emmett, Irene Aldana and Hector Sandoval could be out until June 2017

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), responsible for regulating the UFC Sacramento, held last Saturday (17), announced the medical suspensions of the fighters who performed at the event. Eight athletes received six months and could be sidelined until June 2017: Alan Jouban, Mike Perry, Cole Miller, Colby covington, James Moontasri, Josh Emmett, Irene aldana and Hector Sandoval.

Responsible for the first fight on the main card, Jouban and Perry are suspended due to a possible broken knee and a suspected broken nose, respectively. If it is proven, through medical examinations, that there are no fractures, both can return sooner.

paige vanzant, finished by Michelle Waterson in the main fight of UFC Sacramento, he will have to stay out for 45 days, due to having been knocked unconscious by the rear naked choke applied by his opponent. Waterson received no medical suspensions.

Luis Henrique Frankenstein, the only Brazilian representative on the card, was suspended for 60 days after suffering lacerations to his left eyebrow and right cheek. He was submitted by the debutant Paul Craig in the second round of the fight.

Bryan barberena: suspended for 60 days or until cleared by a doctor for facial laceration
James Moontasri: suspended for 180 days or until cleared by a doctor due to a possible broken nose, and suspended for 60 days or until cleared by a doctor due to a laceration in the eyelid of the left eye
Josh Emmett: suspended for 180 days or until cleared by a doctor for possible rib fracture, and suspended for 45 days without exception for hard fighting
scott holtzmann: suspended for 60 days or until cleared by a doctor due to a laceration to the eyelid in his right eye, and suspended for 45 days without exception for hard fighting
Irene aldana: suspended for 180 days or until cleared by a doctor for a possible fracture in the right eye, and suspended for 45 days without exception for hard fighting
Takeya Mizugaki: Suspended 45 days with 30 days no contact for knockout
Hector Sandoval: suspended for 180 days or until cleared by doctor for left hip pain
Sultan Aliev: suspended for 60 days or until cleared by a doctor due to a laceration to the eyelid of his left eye
