The UFC on Fox 23 card, scheduled for January 28th, in Denver (USA), added another fight. This is a duel between Andrei Arlovski e Francis Ngannou, valid for the heavyweight category (up to 120kg). The information was given first hand during the “UFC Tonight” program, last Wednesday (14).

In a bad phase, Arlovski, 8th in the ranking, comes from three consecutive defeats, all in 2016. He was knocked out by Stipe Miocic e alistair overeem, and finished by Josh Barnett in his most recent performance, last September. This is “Pitbull’s” second stint in the UFC, having accumulated 14 triumphs and seven setbacks, in addition to having won the heavyweight belt in 2005.
Ngannou, on the other hand, is going through a great moment in his career. In Ultimate a year ago, he won the four fights he had in the company, all via the fast track – three knockouts and one submission. The most recent victory was over Anthony Hamilton at UFC Albany, last Friday (09). Number 11 in the ranking, the French-Cameroonian, 30 years old, is considered the main promise for the future of the category.
The main fight of UFC on Fox will be between bantamweights Valentina Shevchenko e Julianna Pena. The clashes between Donald Cerrone x Jorge masvidal, Raphael Assunção x aljamain sterling e Hector Lombard x Brad Tavares are also confirmed on the show.
