Chris Weidman still recovering from the impressive knockout he suffered to Yoel romero at UFC 205. But he is already thinking about the next steps in his career, which could include moving up from middleweight to light heavyweight.
The former Ultimate champion said he is learning from the mistakes made in his defeat in November, but admitted he is thinking about changing weight.
“I could think about the mistake I made forever and go crazy, but I have to learn and move on. But I have to move on and learn from this mistake. I do think (about moving up a category), it's a possibility, but I need more time”, he commented during UFC 206 last Saturday (10), in statements reproduced by the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
In addition to the setback for Yoel romero, Weidman also lost to Luke Rockhold, at UFC 194. On that occasion, the “All-American” lost his middleweight title, won against Anderson Silva in 2013.
