Dana White: 'My relationship with St-Pierre was never good'

UFC president surprises and denies conflict with GSP, but the Canadian's return should not happen at UFC 206, in Toronto, Canada

Apparently, the conflict of interests involving Georges St Pierre and the UFC is coming to an end. Dana White, president of the organization, declared that his relationship with the Canadian star is great, unlike what many imagined.

“My relationship with Georges St-Pierre has never been better. I’m happy we got together,” Dana assured via text message to the Canadian newspaper “Saskatoon StarPhoenix”.

Last Wednesday (26), GSP himself published a video clarifying the nightclubs about a possible confrontation against Michael Bisping at UFC 206, December 10th, in Toronto, Canada. In the midst of the statement, the fighter assured that he laid the groundwork with Dana White, but stressed that the duel will not happen.

“Nothing would make me happier in the world than facing Michael Bisping in Toronto. Last week, I got together with Ari and made up with Dana. I tried to resolve things, but unfortunately this fight won't happen. I hope things change soon,” he declared in a video posted on his social media.

St. Pierre, now 35 years old, was welterweight champion on two occasions: between 2006 and 2007 and between 2008 and 2013. The Canadian left his position as champion when he gave up the belt to temporarily step away from MMA. In his career, St. Pierre beat names like Matt hugs, Jon Fitch, Jake Shields, Josh koscheck, Thiago Pitbull, Among others.
