Ex-UFC, Carwin enters Rizin's absolute GP

O Grand Prix of absolute weight from the Japanese organization Rizin met its last member of the quarterfinals. Shane carwin, former interim UFC heavyweight champion, was confirmed in the final stages of the tournament, which will take place from December 29th, in Saitama, Japan.

Carwin joins Mirko Cro Cop, Valentin Moldavsky, Amir Aliakbari, Jiri Prochazka, Szymon Bzor, Baruto and Wanderlei Silva in the competition. Of these, only Wanderlei has not yet fought, as he also enters the tournament in the second phase. The others competed and won the round of 25, which took place on September XNUMXth.

Carwin, now 41 years old, was considered one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC. Famous for his brutal blows, the American defeated names like Frank mir e Gabriel Napao, but left Ultimate with two consecutive defeats, to Brock Lesnar e junior gypsy.

The only fight confirmed for the quarterfinals of the Rizin tournament is between Wanderlei Silva and Mirko Cro Cop. The remaining marriages will be made official soon. The GP semifinals and final will take place on December 31st, also in Saitama.
