Canadian fans are not happy at all with the news that star Georges St-Pierre will most likely not perform at UFC 206, an event that will take place in Toronto, Canada, on December 10th. Numerous posts suggesting a possible boycott of the UFC were posted on social media, if, of course, GSP's absence from the card is confirmed.
Last week, St-Pierre announced that he had terminated his contract with Ultimate and was free to sign with the competition, confirming his desire to return to fighting. However, UFC management issued a statement stating that the Canadian's contract is still in force and suggested that they will seek legal measures to ensure it is fulfilled.
While the issue involving GSP and Ultimate is not resolved, UFC 206 will feature a rematch between Daniel Cormier e Anthony Johnson in the main fight of the night, in a duel valid for the light heavyweight belt. Names like Cub swanson, Nikita Krylov and Doo Ho Choi are also present at the show.
