Now it's official: Fabricio Werdum e Cain Velazquez will rematch each other at UFC 207, an event that will take place on December 30th, in Las Vegas, and will feature the return of Ronda Rousey facing the bantamweight champion Amanda nunes. The winner of the duel must receive the chance to face Stipe Miocic, current holder of the heavyweight belt, in 2017.

Interestingly, both Fabrício and Cain defeated the same fighter in their last appearances: the American Travis Browne. Velásquez defeated him by technical knockout at UFC 200, in July, while 'Vai, Cavalo' dominated Ronda's boyfriend at UFC 203, in September, and took victory in the judges' unanimous decision.

PUBLICITY:

Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velásquez faced each other for the first time in June 2015, in a dispute valid for the heavyweight title. On that occasion, Werdum, who had won the interim belt, submitted his rival in the third round and became champion of the category. However, Fabrício lost the heavyweight belt in May this year, when he was knocked out by Stipe Miocic at UFC 198, held in Curitiba, at the Arena da Baixada stadium.
