CABMMA (Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission) announced the medical suspensions of the UFC Brasilia, an event that took place last Saturday (24). Chris Cyborg e Renan Barao, protagonists of the two most important fights of the night, would emerge from their fights unharmed and received minimum preventive suspensions of 14 days without fighting and seven days without training with physical contact. Lina Lansberg, knocked out by Cyborg in the second round, will be away for a longer period of time: 45 days without fighting and 30 days without training with physical contact.
Among the 26 athletes who fought in the event, only three received longer suspensions and will need to be released by medical specialists to be able to return before the 180-day deadline stipulated by the Commission. Erick silva and Luan Chagas, responsible for the best fight of the night, are included on the list. Erick fractured his face in two places and needs to be seen by a craniomaxillofacial doctor, while Chagas had a fractured fibula and will need to be evaluated by an orthopedist. The North American Gregor Gillespie, who defeated Glaico France in the first duel of the show, he needs to see an ophthalmologist before returning to training.
