UFC Fight Night 94 arrives this Saturday (17) in Hidalgo, in the United States, with a card without much fanfare, but with weddings that have everything to deliver good fights to fans of the sport. The light weights Dustin poirier e Michael Johnson They are in charge of running the show, and the winner places themselves very close to the top 5 in the division.

Dustin poirier, 27 years old, is going through the best phase of his Ultimate career. Since leaving the featherweight division and moving up to lightweight, “Diamante”, as he is known, has won the four fights he has had, three of which were by knockouts, all in the first round. Seventh in the rankings, a new positive result could definitely put them in the mix of possible challengers for the division title. In the UFC, he already has 12 wins and just three losses, the last one to Conor McGregor, two years ago.

With two consecutive defeats – he was surpassed by Beneil Dariush e Nate diaz, both on points, Johnson needs victory at any cost if he wants to stay relevant in the lightweight elite. Tenth in the ranking, the North American has collected triumphs against important names in the category, such as Tony Ferguson, Edson Barboza e Joe lauzon. At 30 years old, he has already had 14 fights in the organization, with eight positive results and six negative results.
In the night's co-main event, the aggressive Uriah Hall e Derek Brunson measure strength to remain in the top 10 of the middleweights. Hall hasn't stepped into the Octagon since November 2015, when he was defeated by Robert whittaker in the unanimous decision of the judges. Brunson, in turn, is coming off a devastating knockout over Roan Jucão in February.
Still on the main card, Roan Jucão makes his welterweight debut against Kenny Robertson, and both are coming off defeats. Those also looking for rehabilitation are Brazilians Antonio Carlos Shoe Face and Leonardo Leleco, who face each other in the preliminary portion of the event and need to win to avoid the risk of dismissal.
