It seems that the confusion involving Fabricio Werdum and Edmond Tarverdyan, Browne's boxing trainer. Minutes after overcoming Travis Browne in the second most important fight of UFC 203, held last Saturday (10), in Cleveland, United States, the Brazilian kicked Tarverdyan after a brief argument between the two. According to the Ohio Athletic Commission, the state where the event took place, there is no reason to suspend those involved.
“Things ended well for everyone. They said they respect the Commission and guaranteed that this will never happen again”, said Bernie Profato, executive director of the Commission to the North American website ”MMA Fighting”.
The episode drew a lot of attention, even overshadowing Werdum's victory. The Brazilian, however, apologized to his fans for what happened and justified the action as having “acted on instinct”. Following the fighter, he only reacted after the rival coach cursed his mother. In addition to Browne, Tarverdyan is also the coach of the former champion Ronda Rousey.
