The expected rematch between Wanderlei Silva e Vitor belfort appears to be close to being confirmed by Ultimate. This Thursday, the president of the organization, Dana White, highlighted that despite Wanderlei having asked to return to the Octagon against the North American Chris Leben, his plans for the Brazilian athlete are different.
“That’s what he (Wanderlei Silva) wants to (fight Leben). But we want the Vitor belfort to face him,” White said. “Wanderlei knows that I want this fight and Vitor belfort It’s already ready, and that’s the fight we want”, added the top hat.
If the rematch between Wanderlei and Vitor is confirmed, the fight could be repeated in Brazil, at UFC Rio, in August. In the first confrontation, held in 1998, in São Paulo, Belfort won, by knockout, just 44 seconds into the fight.
