The UFC's return to Brazil will only take place on August 27th, but the expectation for the fight program is already a cause for anxiety for national fans. So much so that the UFC made available, for the first time in its history, a poll on its official website to choose the fighters who will make up the card.
Each internet user can vote for up to 12 athletes. Among the participants in the poll are belt holders Anderson Silva, Mauritius Shogun e José Aldo, in addition to well-known names such as Wanderlei Silva, junior gypsy, Vitor belfort and the brothers Rogério Minotouro e Rodrigo Minotauro.
“UFC Rio will be a special event. I know how crazy Brazilian fans are and how excited they are to see the most exciting sporting event in the world live. This unprecedented research will help select the fighters for this card. This is another proof that the UFC knows how special our Brazilian fans are,” said Dana White, UFC president.
