Brutally attacked by her former boyfriend, former UFC fighter War Machine, Christy Mack innovated to draw attention to the cause against domestic violence. The former pornographic film actress launched an app with a series of emojis that show women hurt by aggression.

Christy's intention with “MackMoji” is to mobilize people through the impact of the scenes. The application features several sensual illustrations of the former actress, but also features others of women with bruises and cuts on their faces.

“The decision to include emojis with injured women was to draw attention to the shock. I know a lot of people will use this negatively, but it's a risk I take to achieve my goal. Many women are afraid to speak up, often because they fear their partners will notice. A simple emoji can save a life. I want everyone to know that they are not alone,” Mack told TMZ.

The app is available for iOS and Android, priced at US$1,99. The amount raised will be donated to the Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence foundation.
