Considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA, Fedor Emelianenko confirmed his return to the ring after participating in the weigh-in for the fight he will have against Fabio Maldonado in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia.
This Thursday (16), Fedor and Maldonado stepped up on the scale, including the song by Raul Seixas used at the entrance of “Caipira de Aço”. Afterwards, the two came face to face for the traditional face-off, which took place without much animosity.
Former PRIDE champion and with triumphs over big names in the sport, Fedor has a record of 35 wins, four losses and one no-contest. In his most recent fight, in December last year, the “Last Emperor” beat Jaideep Singh in the first round. Maldonado will have his first professional MMA fight since being fired from the UFC at the end of 2015.
