This Saturday (18), the octagon arrives for the first time in the capital of Canada, Ottawa, with a card full of local stars in the main fights. Before stepping into the octagon, however, the athletes have an appointment with the scales, at the official weigh-in for the event, which takes place this Friday (17).
From 18pm (Brasília official time), Rory McDonald, Stephen Thompson, Donald Cerrone, Patrick Cote and all the athletes scheduled for the Canadian event check if they are at the required weight and perform the traditional face-offs, which heat up the atmosphere for the fights the following day. As is becoming standard in Ultimate, however, the event will only be a “stage” with the revelation of information, as the official weight will be measured hours before, in secret.
The only Brazilian on the card, the former participant of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Leandro Buscapé will face Jasson Saggo, in a fight valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg), in the fight that closes the preliminary card of the night.
