Once again the name of Fedor Emelianenko is involved in rumors with the UFC. However, not even the Russian's former manager, Vadim Finkelchtein, believes that one day the agreement will come to fruition, because, according to him, if the fighter really wanted to sign a contract, it would have already happened.

Finkelchtein was at the forefront of negotiations between Emelianenko and Ultimate for many years. However, even though the rumors appeared strongly on some occasions, the fans' desire to see the Russian inside the octagon never materialized.

“I think that, if Fedor wanted to fight in the UFC, he would already be there,” said the fighter's former manager, according to the North American website “Bloody Elbow”.

Finkelchtein believes that Fedor's next steps in MMA have already been defined, but those currently responsible for his career chose to omit the information. “Your new manager has a unique approach to promoting fights. If I already knew the location and participants of the fight, he would immediately distribute the information to sell tickets for the event. Why hide this information? Maybe it’s a new approach, but it’s like a soap opera,” he criticized.

Emelianenko is considered one of the greatest athletes in the history of MMA, with victories over athletes of the caliber of Rodrigo Minotauro, Mirko Cro Cop, Andrei Arlovski, Mark Coleman, Mark Hunt, between others. The Russian retired for three years, but returned to action at the end of last year, with a quick victory over Jaideep Singh at Rizin FF.
