Featherweight title challenger Frankie Edgar was put on hold after winning the belt by Conor McGregor before José Aldo, as the Irishman moved up to the lightweight division and will face Rafael dos Anjos for the title next March. But Edgar doesn't seem discouraged by the postponement of his plans and assured that he now expects McGregor to beat Dos Anjos to challenge him twice, both at featherweight and lightweight.

"I would love. We can have two fights in a row, UFC 200 and UFC 204, whatever. It would be the next big fight. If they let me get my hands on him once, I'll definitely do it again,” Edgar said on “FOX Sports.” “I think it's going to be a great fight and I think most people are interested. So I hope the UFC does the right thing and books me against Conor at UFC 200,” he added.

Edgar, in fact, took the opportunity to start his campaign to be part of the two hundredth pay-per-view of the largest MMA organization on the planet. “I hope to fight on the biggest card in UFC history and make history by winning two titles. I’ll be there on March 5th and maybe I’ll even get a parachute to get into the Octagon because they can’t get me out,” he said.

At 34, Frankie Edgar has a professional record of 19 wins, four losses and one draw. Former lightweight champion, Edgar has won five consecutive victories as a featherweight, the last of which over Chad Mendes, on the eve of UFC 194, exactly when Conor McGregor overcame José Aldo and won the belt.
