While the lightweight belt will be put on the line by Rafael dos Anjos in the main fight of UFC 197 in March. On the same night, a little earlier, one of the members of the top-5 in the under 70 kg category will fight in a duel that could confirm him as the next challenger in the division. Fifth place Tony Ferguson will face the seventh Michael Johnson.
Ferguson comes from seven consecutive victories, and has a record of 20 wins and three losses. Already Michael Johnson, whose record in MMA is 16 wins and 10 losses, comes from two consecutive defeats. The fight may be justified, however, because Johnson has already beaten Ferguson in the past.
UFC 197 takes place on March 5th, in Las Vegas (USA). In addition to the duel between McGregor and Dos Anjos for the lightweight belt, the event will also feature the first title defense of Holly holm after hitting Ronda Rousey. The women's bantamweight champion will face Miesha Tate in the co-main duel.
