Ronda guarantees box office of R$22 million for UFC 193

the champion Ronda Rousey is the main attraction of UFC 193, in Australia, and, after breaking his personal record for sales of pay-per-view in the fight against Beth Pitbull in Rio, the blonde reached another historic milestone, boosting the event's ticket sales to an astronomical box office of US$6 million (R$22,7 million, at current prices).

The information was released by president Dana White, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”. According to the director, UFC 193's box office is expected to be around 8,5 million Australian dollars. However, despite the numbers, Dana also revealed that there are tickets left for the Etihad Stadium, mainly for sectors with more popular prices.

Despite the impressive numbers, however, UFC 193's box office still doesn't even come close to the organization's all-time record. The brand belongs to UFC 129, held in 2011 in Canada, which with an audience of 55 thousand fans raised revenue of US$12 million (R$45,5 million).

UFC 193 will feature a bantamweight title fight between the champion Ronda Rousey and the undefeated challenger Holly holm. In the night's co-main event, strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will face Canadian Valerie Letourneau.
